Native and non-native species you will enounter when taking a stroll across the shores and fields
Two males fighting: The cousin of a farmer brought pheasant to the island in the hope of hunting them for sport. The idea backfired with dozends of them poplulating the area now, scaring cows when they take off at the last second.
This species of thistles are not of conservation concern.
A male lapwing is searching for food, taking a break from the hazardous maneuvers he flew with his female partner.
The first traces of spring: primroses nestled to a rock.
Several older farmers remembered going out with dogs to hunt rabbits when they were children. The practice has since then ceased and the rabbits built extensive tunnel systems that make it impossible to have cattle grazing on the marshland - they might break a leg.
